Isopod IMG_8830 - Ligia exotica - Male Female
Dry Tortugas National Park, Monroe County, Florida, USA
April 6, 2011
I think this may be a mating pair of Ligia baudiniana. The male appears to have 32 segments to the right flagellum and 28 to the left from what I can tell. I don't see the fringe of bristles on the edge of the carpus and merus but I think that this ridge may not be visible from the angle at which I was shooting.

Moved from Ligia.

Pretty sure my guess was wrong. The bristles I mentioned should be visible. This does seem, however, to match Ligia exotica.
