Hi Jim,

I'm writing the status report and organizing the search effort and specimen collection of the Giant Lacewing in Canada for the COSEWIC (Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada).
I am planing a poster diffusion for this survey conservation effort.
I wanted to know if I can use your picture for that cause?
Your permission will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Vincent Bereczki,

Hi Vincent,
Yes you may use this photo, or any of the other Giant Lacewing photos that I have posted here on BugGuide. Hope your efforts to find specimens are successful.

giant lacewing pictures
Hi Jim
I am Robert Dowell. I am working with the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (Cosewic) to determine the status of the giant lacewing, Polystoechotes punctata. As part of this effort we are updating the wanted poster Cosewic used in 2016 to request potential sightings of P. punctata. That 2016 poster used one of your P. punctata pictures, BugGuide 515086, I believe.

As part of the updated poster, I would like your permission to reuse the original picture (BugGuide 515086) and to also use another (Bugguide 515087) with full credit to you of course.

We appreciate your help in this effort.
Thank you
Robert Dowell

Hi Robert
You have my permission to reuse the original picture (BugGuide 515086) and also the other photo: (Bugguide 515087). Again I hope your efforts to find P. punctata specimens are successful. Best regards - Jim Moore.

Image Request
Hi Jim,

I'm also interested in using your photos of this species for the Peterson Field Guide to NA Insects. I can't find an email for you. Could you email me at jcabbott13@gmail.com?
Thanks,
John
