Size: 18 mm
Found in the bay of a lighted car wash, quite feisty. Perhaps it was foraging for wounded insects? This is,the Eastern Bloodsucking Conenose, Triatoma sanguisuga, see comments. Chilled and posed. (They wake up from chilling quite rapidly.)

Note updated 6/23/19: I DID get a photo next to a scale--length was 18 mm, tip of wings above to base of mouthparts.

Thanks, do you have any references or identification tips on this genus? I've seen checklists listing a couple of other species for this area, but no further information on keying.
