Tiny C-shaped larvae mature - Scolytus multistriatus

Tiny C-shaped larvae mature - Scolytus multistriatus
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 4, 2006
Size: about 3 mm
If I'm not mistaken, the tiny C-shaped larvae under the bark of a dead deciduous branch were baby scolytids. At least that's the family the adults appear to be in. I did take a few shots of a pupa and will add that to the group of pix when I next view it.
