Looks distinctive, but I don't know my skippers well at all... We only have a couple of photos from NM in BG, but many overall, so can be frassed if desired...

Silver-spotted Skipper (Epargyreus clarus)
It looks as if yours is the first record for NM in May, so I'd vote for keeping (not frassing) it.
