Hi Jim. A fairly joung specimen. The older they get the more black they become.

I guess those distinctive markings pegged it to species.

 
cincta refers to the white transversal band
Yes Jim, the name cincta refers to the white markings on body and antennae, both in the form of a white transversal band.

 
I took Latin in high school
But the fact that cincta was the root word for cinch (English) or cinchuron (Spanish) escaped me :-)
