Featherwinged Beetle? - Ptinella

Featherwinged Beetle? - Ptinella
New Hampshire, USA
May 13, 2006
Size: 0.85 - 0.9 mm
Those are millimeter marks seen through bottom of Insect-a-Slip-coated clear plastic deli container. I took several shots with beetle and ruler and the greatest length for the beetle was 0.88775mm. If the beetle is at right angles to the camera, but the ruler is not, the beetle will measure longer than it actually is. If the converse is true, the beetle will measure shorter than it actually is.
