Tiny insect with patterned wings - Graphopsocus cruciatus

Tiny insect with patterned wings - Graphopsocus cruciatus
Skyline Ridge OSP, San Mateo County, California, USA
May 21, 2011
Size: ~7mm
We found a few of these tiny insects in oak/bay woodland. I thought some sort of small fruit fly at first just because of wing patterns, but I didn't think to look with a hand lens. This one looked gravid.
