Bupestrid - Spectralia gracilipes

Bupestrid - Spectralia gracilipes
Pulaski County, Kentucky, USA
May 30, 2011
Size: 10 mm
Found dead in basement.

Found a lot of great stuff down in Kentucky this weekend. Looking forward to sorting thru it all. :)

(Changed specimen in photo after initial posting.)

Moved
Moved from Metallic Wood-boring Beetles.

Key characters (apex of elytra and last abdominal sternum) match up well.

check out Spectralia gracilipes
by no means an ID [bups scare me... almost as much as pleurostict scarabs]

I was looking at Spectralia myself, but wasn't sure. Will check further.
