This millipede was crawling in and out of the leaf litter on the forest floor (away from the camera, of course). Morning.

I attended Hocking College! I guess it doesnt help with your ID question but... So much great territory to search around there. You should google search "Natural Treasures of Ohio" a local guy there who takes great photos and can ID so many plants it is rediculous.

Seems to match closely with Apheloria virginiensis corrugata.

 
Does the color varry quite a
Does the color varry quite a lot? This one did not have any red/orange color. It was only black and yellow.

 
Some variability
The red/orange may be more obvious in some individuals. It's just barely noticeable in this photo.
