Squash Bug - Anasa tristis

Squash Bug - Anasa tristis
Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 14, 2006
Size: about 15.5 mm
One of two bugs of this species found April 3, 2006 overwintering under loose bark of ready-to-topple oak snag. After almost a month-and-a-half of being on the back burner while I shot other insects, I finally took pity, snapped some pix and tossed it out the window.

Thanks, Lynette.
Tony has one that's a ringer for this one. Moving to genus.
