Fly - Copestylum isabellina

Fly - Copestylum isabellina
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
June 7, 2011
Size: estimated 20mm
Browsing the guide, I found Copestylum isabellina looking familiar and in my area, but I know nothing about flies. Assume the red spot is a mite or other parasite. At UV lights. I have other photos of this insect if needed/wanted.
