spider on my porch - Larinioides cornutus

spider on my porch - Larinioides cornutus
kingsville, Ontario, Canada
June 8, 2011
We have a few of these spiders hanging around our patio doors on the back porch. I would like to know what they are. We live near a small treed area and creek, as well our neighbour ( right next door) has a small pond with stagnant water. These spiders seem to love the patio doors - i can only assume it's b/c they are constantly covered in mosquitos. Any idea what it is ? thx

Larinioides - Furrow spider
The pattern is very similar to Zygiella. I'm not 100% sure which one it is, but I'm leaning toward Larinioides patagiatus.

how about
Zygiella x-notata http://bugguide.net/node/view/191077 in the family Araneidae?
Look for a missing sector in the orb-web to be sure...
