our land - along Hwy 88 near Praag, Buffalo County, Wisconsin, USA
June 9, 2011
Size: 10mm
Came to UV lights. A beautiful, very small moth, but distinctive coloration. ID from comparing to photos in the guide. New for Wisconsin!

on bugguide or regardless?
New to WI on bugguide or not before recorded in WI by anybody?

I'm sure it's been recorded for Wisconsin before
..but this was the first record for Wisconsin on Bugguide. Now that I've been doing this longer, I realize it wasn't important to say that - but in 2011 I'd just started looking at moths and it was exciting to find.
