Mayfly Larva - Ameletus tertius

Mayfly Larva - Ameletus tertius
Woodford, Bennington County, Vermont, USA
May 18, 2006
Size: 6.5mm
Found in a river on the underside of a rock.

Pretty animal.
Great work on these aquatic larvae, Tom.

Thanks Jim
It seems every couple of weeks, everything I find in the streams is different. I even got a baby trout with these nymphs, and last week, some type of salamander nymph with the gill fillaments.
