Syrphidae: Mallota posticata? - Mallota posticata
Turtle River State Park, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, USA

Size: Length ~ 12-14 mm
This specimen resembles Mallota posticata (see image below). I observed two specimens that seemed to dispute one another in a territorial way, but only got an image of one individual. Is this Mallota? Thanks for any help! ;-)
