Rhysobius lophanthae, I think
I can't find a scymnine with an immaculate, paler-than-elytra pronotum, and this critter doesn't have pubescent eyes. The shape of the pronotum, relatively long and dense setae, metallic sheen, and red color point toward Rhyzobius lophanthae to me.

Yours are the first live images of the species on BugGuide! Before we just had a pinned one.

Now,
would you say that's the cutest little face you've ever seen on a little 2mm beetle?

oh yes...
And it looks so fluffy, like a little red kitten!

nice to learn --thanks for solving it, Ma'am.
i felt uncomfy about this one being a Scymnus all along...

now if only I hadn't misspelled "Rhyzobius"...
...I'd be feeling like a genius :)
