Leptoceridae: Nectopsyche? - Nectopsyche
Hillsboro, Traill County, North Dakota, USA
June 19, 2011
Size: Body Length ~ 10-12 mm
This pale green, long-horned caddisfly resembles the genus Nectopsyche, I think. Hoping for confirmation or correction on identity of this specimen. Thanks! ;-)

Moved from Caddisflies.

Nectopsyche
it is indeed Nectopsyche - probably a female given the pale wing coloration and short, blunt abdomen.

Great! Thanks, Dave!
Thanks, Dave! I've photographed other, brown long-horned caddis in Minnesota, but this is the first of the pale green individuals I've ever seen. The banded antennae are striking, too! ;-)

PS: I sure hope that package with caddis specimens arrives on Monday! ;-(
