Scolytid - Hypothenemus seriatus

Scolytid - Hypothenemus seriatus
Rotonda West, Charlotte County, Florida, USA
June 14, 2011
Size: 1.5 mm
This tiny scolytid was shaken from the seedpod of an Allamanda (maybe cathartica, it had yellow flowers). It may have come from the small amount of stem still attached to the seedpod, I'm not sure.

Images aren't very good due to the size, but I'm hoping the host info will take it somewhere.
