Can anyone help with the ID of this dragonfly? Thanks a lot. Ann Pettigrew

libellula
This is a skimmer, family Libellulidae, genus Libellula. A female, or perhaps immature male. I am not certain of its species, but might guess Slaty Skimmer (Libellula incesta).

Joshua, there was a male Slat
Joshua, there was a male Slaty in the area so perhaps this is a female. Thanks very much for your input. Ann
