Is this Platysoma? - Platysoma gracile

Is this Platysoma? - Platysoma gracile
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 21, 2006
Size: about 3.3 mm
Found under semi-loose bark of standing dead oak trunk. I thought it was dead, but stuck it in my collecting container anyway, along with assorted underbark larvae. Later I checked it out with my loupe and was elated to see legs waving at me.

Moved from Platysoma.

Histeridae: Platysoma gracile
Best fits Platysoma gracile by size and other characters. Cylistix is a synonym for the cylindrical Platysoma.

Thank you, Don.
I'll move to guide page.

Histeridae: Platysoma possibly
I think Cylistix is a synonym. Platysoma looks close, but I don't know for sure.

I've got more pix to post,
maybe tomorrow.
