ant - Aphaenogaster ant - Aphaenogaster

Aphaenogaster sp. (subgenus Attomyrma) - worker
Although much less slim and leggy than southern species of the cockerelli group, these Aphaenogaster ants are more slenderly built than similar looking Myrmica. The difference is especially visible at the nodes (petiolus + postpetiolus) and at the antennae, whose club is hardly definite. Also, compare length of the scapus relative to head width.
I think you submitted a very close species last month, if not the same, with one queen.

Myrmicin ants
Just when I think I'm starting to tell one from the other, I realize how close these Myrmicine ants are in appearnce. Richard, thanks for the help.
