Wow, pretty cool. I've never
Wow, pretty cool. I've never seen one of those. You got the shot almost right where I live! Looks like Ken Wolgemuth got the ID. At first glance it looks like a completely crazed Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillar. Yeah I forgot though that sphinx moths sometimes lose their tale when they reach large size and are left with a raised eye spot underneath and their fake eyes are always to the back unlike with the swallowtails.

How about
Abbott's Sphinx (Sphecodina abbottii)?
