I can't see what else it could be besides a Pearly Eye, but it looks strange to me, with a different pattern and lacking eye spots.

Northern Pearly-Eye
Enodia anthedon is the only pearly-eye in New York. the reasin it looks strange in that it must not have emerged properly, so the hind wing is deformed
