Sac Spider
This appears to be a sac spider, most likely in the Clubionidae family, although I am not 100% certain on the family (maybe 90% certain?); there are several families that have sac spiders (Clubionidae, Liocranidae, and Miturgidae). To get a more definite ID, I would need to better see the eye arrangement.

Hope thie helps.

Hibana genus Ghost Spider
In looking at this more and more, I think I should stand corrected. Although it strongly resembles the sac spider, the tarsii (feet) didn't look correct for a sac spider and the markings on the abdomen reminded me of some spiders in the Anyphaenidae family. I checked the bugguide repository, and *BAM*, I believe you have found what is referred to as a ghost spider in the Hibana genus (based on what I found on in the database).

Thanks

I was pretty sure it was a sac spider but not sure enough to label it that.

I tried to get a photo of the face-but none of them came out-I think this spider is still around on my porch-it took off while I taking photos and I'm not one to grab one up by hand.

So if I can find it again-if nothing else-I'll see if I can look closer and even sketch the eye arrangement.

Thanks

Jo
