Bee Fly Again? - Merodon equestris

Bee Fly Again? - Merodon equestris
Chevy Chase, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
May 20, 2006

Merodon equestris
No beefly, this is a syrphid. It is an introduced European species, a male of Merodon equestris. The larvae can do some damage to plants.

Two for two
