Bee , beetle , moth ? - Eichlinia cucurbitae
South River, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA
June 29, 2011
Found this bug today flying around in my raised bed . Seemed to stick around my squash plants and seemed to be slightly aggressive . When I shook the squash plant to bring this guy into sight it flew straight towards me . Something has been eating through the stems of the squash flowers , could it be this ?
