In flower of Eriodictyon parryi (formerly Turricula p.). E. parryi is one of the fire followers, and entire slopes in the San Gabriel Mountains are currently covered with the lavender color of its flowers.
The beetle looks close to A. connexa photographed in Eriodictyon trichocalyx:
