True Bug - Anasa

True Bug - Anasa
Springfield, Virginia, USA
July 26, 2004
Some type of true bug. Is it an assassin bug? or something else? (They all look very similar to me!)

Squash bug
This is a squash bug in the genus Anasa, family Coreidae. Hard to tell what species from a photo only, though A. armigera has a prominent spine on the first antennal segment. This one does not:-)
