Just ran across this lovely photo.
I just ran across this photo and realized that it is labeled as a female. However, judging by what appears to be bulbous palps, I think it is an adult male.

I've changed it

Hogna
I was recently in Pasco County and the dominant large wolf spider was Hogna lenta and I suspect that is what this is. Off topic: where are the Eastern Diamond Back rattlers and cottonmouths? I only found one EDB baby road kill in Hernando Co. Waded through swamp after swamp and never seen a cottonmouth or watersnake for that matter. :)

Thanks for the ID.
As to your off topic, I have been returning to FL off and on for years and can't find the Eastern Diamondback to save my life. Very frustrating. But on May 9 I found an adult FL Cottonmouth laying on the bank of a spring run in Ocala National Forest. Drew our canoe to within 5 feet of the beautiful snake and she never flinched. This is my second of this subspecies. The first was in Northern FL years ago that I had to drag off a highway with an umbrella before being run over by passing traffic.... They are much harder to find than the Western subspecies, which I find regularly.
