Robber Fly - Laphria - female

Robber Fly - Laphria - Female
Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, USA
May 25, 2006
Size: approx. 1"
The closest match I could find in the guide is Laphria sericea. Can anyone confirm this? I believe the prey is a lacewing.

Laphria
Damn, Virginia must be crawling with these. Someone else posted one an hour ago. I have seen exactly one alive in my state.

This is most likely Laphria sericea. But Laphria aktis and Bullington's species #something in his unpublished PhD also is identical.
