Definately Ochlerotatus, but another "specimen in hand" one. Probably something close to Oc. excrucians.

 
not excrucians
excrucians has broad basal bands. this completely dark scaled baby is probably Aedes cinereus. i checked my specimens i have collected from the side after i keyed this mosquito. i was stuck between ae. cinerus and oc. intrudens. but the side looks more like ae. cinereus

Thanks Sean, I'll start looking for different looking mosquitoes that are easier to ID:-)
