Size: 4 mm
Found on common milkweed. White material on side may be latex from milkweed.

yup...never heard of them on milkweed though!
Was it feeding on the plant? They usually only like alfalfa and related plants.

feeding on milkweed?
This is the 2nd time I've found this species on milkweed. Don't know if it was really feeding on it but it was at the very top leaf shots with lots of latex having oozed out, and a little of it on the beetle itself.
