a male Ground Cricket
Which species is a bit more difficult to tell, especially without having the insect in hand. There are quite a few species that look very similar (and they vary in coloring too). I'm still learning them, and the ones on BugGuide still need a lot of sorting, but I'm trying to gradually figure them all out. I'll come back to this one, hopefully soon. In the mean time, perhaps somebody else will sort through some of them??
