Moved
Moved from Stenochironomus.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Probably Stenochironomus poecilopterus.

Is it from New York?

Yes New York sorry
toggle was wrong. Fixed it.
Thank you!!

John Carr I have several images of this
...would any particular character via photo confirm species?
Regards,
K

Legs
Are the fore and hind legs dark all the way to the base?

Eventually it would be neat if Bugguide had
snippets of video showing behaviors to go along with "INFO." I have a short piece of this midge waving its long legs around, which is how I first saw it. I know video is server intensive, just saying.
