Orange hairy caterpillar - Cycnia collaris

Orange hairy caterpillar - Cycnia collaris
Hermitage, Davidson County, Tennessee, USA
July 10, 2011
While leading a nature hike at Couchville Cedar Glade State Natural Area, I observed this caterpillar on a Whorled Milkweed plant. It appeared to be feeding on the plant. I've asked several people about it; one local butterfly expert suggested it might be the Unexpected Cycnia (Cycnia inopinatus). After comparing photos, that would be my best guess. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Cycnia inopinatus was synonymized with Cycnia collaris.

Davidson County record
I just submitted this to BAMONA, it appears to be a county record. Thanks for your help.
