Collector caterpillar - Synchlora

Collector caterpillar - Synchlora
The Woodlands, Montgomery County, Texas, USA
May 27, 2006
This came in unseen on some wildflowers we gathered behind our house. At first my husband thought a caterpillar had gotten "tangled up" in some debris. When it crawled along with it fine, we realized it must collect things intentionally. We looked around and found synchlora (http://bugguide.net/node/view/8002). Is that what this is? Thanks for any help.

Difficult to tell for certain
but that's what we would have called it from your description!
