Unknown Green Caterpillar - Paonias myops

Unknown Green Caterpillar - Paonias myops
Tecumseh MI USA, Lenawee County, Michigan, USA
July 15, 2011
Size: 1 1/4 inch
I found this cat on my cherry tree. It is NOT a tomato hornworm, but looks similar in many ways. It will not eat tomato leaves. Also, the horn is white like the white line leading up to it. Under magnification it looks like raised white dots. There are 8 orange dots down each side and it has several small legs on the back end that are the same orange color. The body has sort of a diamond pattern in it, also in the little raised white dots. It is not a Wild Cherry Sphinx, because it does not have the reddish horn or lines on the sides, which they have. I would like to know what it will become, if I keep it.
