Imperial Moth - Eacles imperialis
Durham County, North Carolina, USA

This individual had been found under a lighted wall and was captured. When released, it fluttered into a shady area under some shrubs and clung to a stem. I took a few photos, and it fluttered to the ground, then flared its wings out, striking a nice pose.
