Bumming Bird - Hemaris diffinis

Bumming Bird - Hemaris diffinis
Heath, Licking County, Ohio, USA
August 1, 2005
Size: about 2 inches long
I was fooling around with my new camera and saw this thing. I've never seen anything like it before or since.

Hemaris Diffinis
This is a hummingbird moth commonly known as "Snowberry Clearwing."

My guess...
would be a Clear-winged Sphinx Moth (Sphingidae).
