Mason bee? - Osmia

Mason bee? - Osmia
Monarch Lake, Indian Peaks Wilderness, Grand County, Colorado, USA

Not skiddish, very easy to photograph. Large mandibles!!!
Am I seeing pollen brushes on the abdomen? That had me thinking it was some sort of leaf-cutter bee species. The large mandibles made me think of a carpenter bee?

Mason Bee
Looks like an Osmia, a mason bee. These are closely related to leaf cutter bees! See this image here: . Wait for Dr. Ascher to confirm, and welcome to Bugguide!

Hey Diane!!!
