spider - Piratula - female

spider - Piratula - Female
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
July 20, 2011
Size: 4mm
Found under a board on the mud at the edge of a marsh.

Moved
Moved from Pirate Wolf Spiders. For now moved to P. insularis s.l.

P. insularis
This is most likely Piratula insularis, but there is also a small possibility that it could be P. cantralli; Dondale & Redner (1990) report that the females of the two species cannot be differentiated.

So, perhaps a male will turn up?
