Six Spotted Fishing Spider - Dolomedes triton

Size: 1 1/4 inch approx.

Both of these spiders

are Six Spotted Fishing Spiders (Dolomedes Triton) My question, why the color difference? Male/Female? Mature/Immature? Something other than this?
