Explanation of Names
Author: Passerini
Identification
Mostly grayish green with dark antennae, legs, cornicles, and cauda (tail-like structure). It may be coated by dusty white wax. Winged forms have green abdomen spotted with darker green and with dark patch around the base of each cornicle.
Food
Feed on honeysuckle (Lonicera) and Apiaceae. Can be a minor pest of carrots.
Remarks
From the Palaearctic (Central Asia), found in NY in 1879. A minor pest
