This large crane fly emerged from the larva I found in the wood.

Ctenophora dorsalis
It does look like the right one. Plus a couple years ago in the same general area, I got a male. It looks safe to move it over to the species page. If it doesn't belong, I'm sure I'll hear. Thanks John and Jane.
