Unknown - Efferia aestuans - Male
Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware, USA
July 23, 2011

Moved
Moved from Robber Flies.

Delaware
Is not the land of Efferia. And this is a very atypical male aestuans or an undefined species. The amount of pollinose silvering on the anterior abdominal segments is unprecedented but still likely an aestuans.

Cropped and moved for expert attention.
Moved from ID Request.

This is a Robber Fly of some kind. The experts will be able to tell you more. Cropping is important because only you and the editors can see the full-size version of your pic. Everyone else is left looking at a little bug in a big background. :)
