What a cool bug!
I have no clue what it is, but it sure is bizarre! Someone out there will know. Never seen anything like this in Canada.

This is an adult male glowworm in the beetle family Phengodidae, probably genus Phengodes. Believe it or not, the females are larviform, meaning they reach sexual maturity while retaining a larval form (albeit with compound eyes). Really a neat insect, I agree.
