Size: Length ~ 2 cm
Hmmm...my best guess is that this specimen may be an example of the Striped Garden Caterpillar Moth (Hodges #10304), but I might be very wrong about that. I do think it's in the genus Trichordestra, and T. legitima seems the closest (but not perfect) match with archived MPG images. It also resembles this BG image:
