False Milkweed Bugs - Lygaeus turcicus - male - female

False Milkweed Bugs - Lygaeus turcicus - Male Female
Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana, USA
July 18, 2011
Love in the afternoon. Does anyone know how to tell which is the male and which is the female?

My money says
The female is on the left. Typically, the female will be the larger of the two insects.

Thanks
:)
