The strangest fly I've ever seen. I had absolutely no idea where to start. Stephen and Troy suggested that I start in the Bee Fly family. Anyone know the species for this Lepidophora?

I think this is probably L. lepidocera, based on the extensive white colour and reduced scales on the 4th tergite.
